Legal Counsel
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Legal Counsel to oversee the company’s legal matters and ensure compliance with applicable corporate laws and regulatory requirements
Location: Lahore (Onsite)
Experience: 2 to 4 years
Key Responsibilities (Legal Counsel):
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, labor, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MoUs, NDAs, and other legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including Companies Act 2017, SECP regulations, PSX Listing Regulations, and other relevant laws.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, including court appearances, arbitration, and regulatory hearings.
- Manage litigation and coordinate with external legal advisors.
- Assist with corporate secretarial work, including board resolutions, shareholder meetings, and statutory filings.
- Advise on risk management and potential legal exposure.
- Keep management informed of relevant legal developments and updates.
- Maintain proper documentation and legal record-keeping.
- Train and advise internal stakeholders on legal and compliance-related matters.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate laws (Companies Act 2017, SECP, PSX), managing board and shareholder meetings, maintaining statutory records, handling regulatory filings, and supporting corporate governance and investor relations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- LLB from a recognized institution (LLM or foreign qualifications will be a plus).
- Licensed to practice law in Pakistan.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with exposure to public limited companies or listed entities.
- Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law, SECP and PSX regulations.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, litigation, and regulatory affairs.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
